Ever since "Terminator Salvation" was announced, and before any footage was even shown at Comic-Con, fans of the first three movies have been scrambling over themselves to find the right comparisons for the project. Director McG has even joined in the game himself, with recent statements along the lines of "T4" is like "Batman Begins" or James Cameron's "Aliens."

Those are good projects to emulate, and to fans they signal an adult approach to the material perhaps lacking in "Terminator 3." But fans are fans. If they asked, what did McG tell the ACTORS the project would be like?

Would you believe he told them to hit "The Road"?

"I gave all the actors ‘The Road' to read to get their heads right about this sort of existential detachment that living in a post apocalyptic world would bring," McG revealed. "We're in a very large post apocalyptic environment. The bombs have gone off and there's very little left. People are wandering through lonely landscapes. We want to capture that by way of David Lean photographic expanses, so you think you're looking at ‘Lawrence of Arabia.' So far, so good."

Cormac McCarthy's "The Road," follows a father and son journeying together through an ash covered landscape, some years after a worldwide disaster killed nearly every living thing on the planet. It's bleak, haunting, and despite what may be construed as a somewhat happy ending, endlessly heartbreaking. It's also, of course, some kind of brilliant, a treatise on fear, and despair, and death, and a future from which there is no escape.

McG thinks John Connor could sympathize. Actually, he's insisting on it.

"I think the first two pictures took those ideas so seriously," McG said of the themes of inescapable destiny and dread. "We wanted to make sure we did that [as well]."

Britney Spears looks fabulous in a white bikini on the latest cover of OK! Magazine.

The 26-year-old pop princess showed off her bangin’ new body in late July, when Britney vacationed at the Las Ventanas resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, with her assistant Brett, her bodyguard Lee, her dad, Jamie Spears, and pal George Maloof.

Days later, in an exclusive interview at her Beverly Hills home, Britney chatted with OK! about how she’s made her stunning transformation.

On eating right: “I’m the healthiest I’ve been all my life. My diet has a lot to do with my getting into shape. I have no sugar. I don’t eat fruit or even fruit juice because of the sugar. I eat chicken and salmon and rice. I eat avocados. I’ll have egg whites for breakfast and sometimes turkey burgers for lunch. I try to do just 1,200 calories a day. It may sound like it’s not much, but it’s actually a lot of food if you eat the right things.”

On cutting out a guilty pleasure of hers: “Frappuccinos are gone. (laughs) I do still drink coffee, but just with Equal.”

On working out five days/week at an outside gym and sometimes at the fully-equipped gym in her house: “I was working with male trainers and recently switched to a woman because she knew how to lean me out better.”

Kylie Minogue just wrapped up her European Leg of the X tour. Those lucky bastards in England got to watch it for free on a new Music channel 4. I got a chance to catch the tour on its opening night in Paris. I've always been a Kylie Fan except I never got a chance to fully appreciate her because Madonna governs Pop Stardom in the States. Of course that night I was converted. Love Kylie and she puts on a great show. Check it out for yourselves and I know all of Madonna's fans are going to comment that there's "No one like the Queen " but you know what, in history all queens eventually give up their crowns.
